Ginger-Marinated Tuna Steaks

Tuna marinated in a ginger and soy sauce.

Original recipe serves 4.

Ingredients

1 clove garlic ; minced
1/4 cup soy sauce ; reduced sodium
1 tablespoon ginger ; fresh, grated
4 fillets tuna ; 5 or 6 oz each, about 1 inch thick, rinsed and patted dry
1 tablespoon sesame oil ; dark
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon green onions ; sliced

Preparation:

Place tuna steaks in a plastic. Set bag in a shallow pan. In a small bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, green onion, ginger, rice vinegar and garlic. Pour mixture over tuna in bag and seal. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, turning bag occasionally to coat. Lightly coat the grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Drain tuna and discard marinade. Grill fish for 10 ro 12 minutes or until fish flakes with a fork (about 145 degrees F), turning once. Makes 4 servings.

I have made this several times and it is great!! It is full of flavor and filling. Very simple to make and is always a favorite of company. I am not a fan of fish (oddly enough) but absolutely love this recipe!!
