Fettuccini pasta in a thick, creamy alfredo sauce.

Original recipe serves 5.

Ingredients

salt ; to taste
1/4 pound butter
1 pound fettuccine ; cooked.
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup heavy cream
4 egg yolks

Preparation:

Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in cream until light and fluffy. Add cheese a little at a time. Season with salt, to taste. Remove pan from heat and add yolks, stirring rapidly. Pour sauce on cooked fettucini and serve. Serves 4 to 6.
