A basic companion to pasta

Original recipe serves 10.

Scaling (About scaling and units)
Halve it | Double it | Triple it | Reset
Ingredients

1 teaspoon salt
20 ounces tomatoes
1 small onions ; diced
1 carrots ; peeled and diced
2 tablespoons parsley ; chopped
1 pound beef
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup milk
1 pound veal

Preparation:

Melt butter in a deep skillet. Sautee the onion and carrot over medium high heat until soft. Add the ground meats and salt. Cook for 5 mins breaking it up as it cooks until it's no longer pink. Add milk, simmer until it disappears. Add tomatoes and simmer slowly for 1 hour.
