Fried potato pancakes flavored with onion. Serve with apple sauce or sour cream.

Original recipe serves 4.

Ingredients

salt ; to taste
1 medium onions ; finely chopped
5 potatoes ; peeled and shredded
black pepper ; to taste
2 egg(s) ; beaten
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preparation:

Combine potatoes, salt, pepper, onion and flour in a large bowl. Heat oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Drop spoonfuls of potato batter into skillet and flatten using a spatula. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot.
