Brown rice with vegetables.

Original recipe serves 4.

Ingredients

4 cups brown rice ; uncooked
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 cup peas
1/2 cup onions ; chopped
1 cup red bell pepper ; diced
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 egg(s) ; beaten
3 tablespoons soy sauce

Preparation:

Cook rice according to package directions. Drain and set aside. Heat oil vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet. Add onion and saute for 1 minute. Add eggs, and scramble them. Stir in rice, remaining vegetables, sesame oil, soy sauce and garlic powder. If desired, you can stir in 1 cup of cooked beef, shrimp, or chicken. Makes 4 servings.
