To love fruit cocktail is to love this dessert

Ingredients

2 egg(s)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups coconut ; shredded
1/2 cup walnuts ; shopped
1 ounce fruit cocktail ; canned

Preparation:

Beat eggs and sugar in a large mixing bowl at high speed until light and fluffy. Add fruit cocktail, flour, salt and vanilla. Beat at medium speed until well blended scraping sides and bottom of bowl. Sprinkle with walnuts and coconut. In a 9x13 inch pan, bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Drizzle top with a simple sugar syrup.
