Herb-Garlic Marinade

A sweet and tangy marinate that produces a nice sugar glaze when used with grilled pork or chicken.

Original recipe serves 4.

Ingredients

3/4 cup olive oil
1 pinch sage
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 tablespoon honey
4 cloves garlic ; minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preparation:

Whisk together all ingredients in a medium bowl. Use as a marinade (about 20-30 minutes) for grilled pork or chicken. Original recipe makes enough for about 1 lb of meat. Use this marinade immediately and do not store.
