Easy Salisbury Steak

Named for American Civil War physician Henry Salisbury. It's basically a fancy hamburger.

Original recipe serves 4.

Scaling (About scaling and units)
Halve it | Double it | Triple it | Reset
Ingredients

1 pound beef ; ground
1 medium onions ; cut into wedges
1 teaspoon marjoram
1 1/2 cups farfalle ; cooked, hot
1/4 pound mushroom ; quartered
16 ounces tomato sauce
salt
black pepper

Preparation:

Season beef to taste with salt and pepper. Shape into 4 oval patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add the beef patties and brown on both sides. Add the mushroom and onion, cooking 3 minutes more. Add marjoram and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer 10 minutes or until meat is no longer pink and juices run clear. Serve over pasta.
