Habanero Orange Salsa

A spicy salsa flavored with oranges. The sweetness of the oranges help knock the heat down a bit.

Original recipe serves 6.

Scaling (About scaling and units)
Halve it | Double it | Triple it | Reset
Ingredients

1/2 whole habanero pepper ; seeded and minced
4 large oranges ; peeled
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup onions ; red, sliced
1/3 cup cilantro ; coarsely chopped
2 teaspoons wine vinegar ; red
salt ; to taste
black pepper ; to taste

Preparation:

Cut between the membranes of the oranges to release its segments into a medium bowl.

All all other ingredients, and toss to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Drain the salsa just prior to serving.

To prepare this a day ahead,  cover the bowl and chill before serving.
