Homemade Marinara Sauce

An easy marinara sauce. Serve with pasta of choice.

Original recipe serves 8.

Ingredients

29 ounces tomatoes ; canned, stewed (two 14.9 oz cans)
1 clove garlic ; minced
6 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon oregano ; dried
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup onions ; diced
1/4 cup white wine
4 tablespoons parsley ; fresh, chopped
6 ounces tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation:

Blend salt, pepper, tomatoes, oregano tomato paste, garlic, and parsley in a food processor until smooth.

Heat oil in a large skillet and add the onion over medium heat. Saute for 2 minutes. Add the wine and the blended tomato mixture.

Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
