Sugar, cinnamon and walnuts etc.

Original recipe serves 8.

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups apples ; slice thinly
3 egg(s)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup walnuts ; chopped
1 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation:

Heat oven to 350. Mix together the vegetable oil, vanilla extract and eggs. Add in the sugar, cinnamon, flour, baking soda and salt. Lastly, add in the apples and walnuts and stir together well. Bake in a greased and floured 9x13in. pan for 45 minutes. Ice with buttercream (or your favorite canned) frosting, or dust with powdered sugar using a paper doily for a cool design.
