Ingredients (serves 18)

  • 6 cups macaroni ; dry
  • 3/4 cup onions ; red, minced
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 0.999 cup celery ; diced
  • 3 tablespoons parsley ; minced
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt ; plus more to taste
  • black pepper ; to taste
  • 9 tablespoons sour cream

  • Directions

    Soak the minced onion in cold water for 5 minutes, and then drain.

    Cook macaroni according to package directions. Rinse and drain.

    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Store in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3 days.
