Forget regular ol' potatoes. These hash browns are a sassier variation.

Ingredients (serves 6)

  • 3 large sweet potatoes ; washed and shredded
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon chipotle seasoning
  • 3 cups onions
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar

  • Directions

    1. Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat.
    2. Add sweet potato and onion. Cook for 10 minutes or until onions are translucent and sweet potato is tender.
    3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
    4. Cook, uncovered until brown on the bottom, about 5 minutes. Turn potatoes over and cook until brown on the other side.
