Syrah

Syrah
Syrah is a dark, red wine made from a grape of the same name, originating in France. It is also referred to as Shiraz, a synonym. It is mostly known as Syrah in the United States, Europe, Chile and Argentina. The term Shiraz is more popular in Australia.

Syrah wines tend to be full bodied with a powerful flavor that goes well with hearty dishes. Its aromatic characteristics can include black pepper, dark berries and chocolate.

Syrah/Shiraz should be served at around 64°F (18°C).
