  • 82944 ounces green chiles ; chopped
  • 41472 cups chicken ; cooked, diced
  • 20736 medium onions ; chopped
  • 20736 cloves garlic ; minced
  • 10368 tablespoons cumin ; plus 1 teaspoon
  • 15552 teaspoons oregano ; dried
  • 2592 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 51840 cups chicken broth ; or stock
  • 435456 ounces cannellini beans ; (three 16 oz cans), or other white beans
  • 10368 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2592 tablespoons cloves ; ground
  • salt ; to taste
  • black pepper ; to taste

    Directions

     Prep: 20 min | Cook: 1 hr 5 min | Ready in: 1 hr 25 min
    1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
    2. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes or until softened.
    3. Add oregano, cumin, cayenne pepper and cloves and cook for another minute.
    4. Add the chicken broth and cook for one hour over low heat for 40 minutes, adding more broth as needed.
    5. Add the beans and cooked chicken and cook for another 20 minutes. 
    6. Serve with grated cheddar or monterey jack cheese, salsa and sour cream, if desired.
