Grapefruit refers to the fruit of a subtropical evergreen citrus tree. Grapefruit comes in several varieties, determined by their color. This pulp ranges in tastes from bitter to sweet and tangy, or sour. The most popular varieties are red, pink and white, which refers to the color of the inner pulp.
