Preheat oven to 350F. In a medium bowl, combine vanilla and almond extracts, spices, sugar, and salt and beat with an electric mixer. Beat in flour, then stir in almonds. Roll dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place in on a large baking sheet
about 25 minutes or until golden brown
. Cool for about 5 minutes. Coat hot cookies in remaining sugar, working in batches as needed. Cool completely. Roll cookies in sugar again and serve. Makes about 20 cookies.
