Ingredients (serves 4)

½ 2x 3x Reset

  • 0.33333333333333 cup wheat germ
  • 1.3333333333333 cups oats
  • 1.3333333333333 ounces blueberries ; dried
  • 1.3333333333333 ounces cherries ; dried
  • 1.3333333333333 ounces apricots, dried
  • 0.66666666666667 cup almonds ; sliced
  • 0.66666666666667 ounce butter ; unsalted, plus extra for pan
  • 1.3333333333333 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.33333333333333 cup honey
  • 0.16666666666667 cup brown sugar ; packed
  • 0.33333333333333 teaspoon kosher salt

  • You will also need: saucepan, baking sheet, baking dish

    Directions

    Preheat an oven to 350F (175C).

    Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish with butter and set aside.

    Evenly spread the oats, wheat germ and almonds on a baking sheet, and bake for about 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or so.

    Meanwhile, combine honey, salt, brown sugar, vanilla and butter in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the brown sugar is dissolved.

    Remove the oat mixture from the oven and reduce the oven heat to 300F (150C).

    Add the oat mixture to the sugar mixture and stir in the dried fruit.

    Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly and press down.

    Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.

    Remove the baking dish from the oven and cool completely before cutting into squares.

    Store the granola squares in an airtight plastic bag or container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
