Incredible Chocolate Chip Cookies

Not your average chocolate chip cookie.

Original recipe serves 36.

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups butter ; or margerine, softened
2 egg(s)
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
4 ounces chocolate chips ; semisweet

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat sugars, vanilla, butter and eggs n a large bowl on medium speed or with a spoon until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda. Dough will stiffen. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by the tablespoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Flatten slighly with hands or spoon. Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until light brown. Cool 1 to 2 minutes, and then remove from cookie sheet. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.

Not bad... pretty standard as far as chocolate chip cookies go. This recipe makes a ton of cookies. I had to freeze some of the dough.
