Ingredients (serves 6)

  • salt ; to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • black pepper ; to taste
  • 1/2 pound sausage ; sweet or hot italian, casing removed
  • parmesan cheese ; Whatever amount desired
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 pound ziti

  • Directions

    Prepare pot for cooking pasta. Put butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. As it melts crumble in sausage in small bits. Add cream and adjust the heat to a gentle simmer. Cook pasta until tender but not mushy. Combine pasta with butter/sausage mixture and add parmesan cheese as you like it.
