Ingredients (serves 6)

½ 2x 3x Reset

  • 4 large apples ; use Gala or Fuji, peeled and cored
  • 1 cup cranberries ; fresh
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup sugar

     Prep: 15 min | Cook: 30 min | Ready in: 45 min
    1. Cut apples into 1 inch chunks. Place in a large pot with the rest of the ingredients, except the lemon juice.
    2. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover. Cook for 20 minutes, or until apples are tender and sauce has thickened.
    3. Add a little water if mixture is too dry. Uncover pot and mash apples with a fork.
    4. Add lemon juice and stir.
