Creole seasoning is a spicy blend of seasonings used in Creole cooking which originated in Lousiana, which blends French, French Caribbean, Spanish, African, American and in a small way Italian cooking styles. Creole seasoning typically contains various kinds of pepper, including cayenne, along with onion powder, garlic powder, basil, oregano, and other herbs.


Creole seasoning is often found in recipes that also contain tuna


Substitution for 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning:

3/4 teaspoon paprika
