Mexican Style Meatolaf

Simple meatloaf with a little zing

Original recipe serves 4.

Scaling (About scaling and units)
Halve it | Double it | Triple it | Reset
Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds beef
1 part gravy mix ; packet
1/4 cup celery
1/4 cup green bell pepper
1 egg(s) ; slightly beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1 cup water

Preparation:

(Recipe also needs a packet of sloppy joe mix.) Combine ground beef, brown gravy mix, celery, green pepper, bread crumbs and egg. Form into a loaf. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Combine sloppy joe mix, ketchup and water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil; reduce and simmer 1 minute. Spoon sauce over top before serving.
