Ingredients (serves 3752)

  • 1407 pounds beef ; cubed
  • 2814 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1876 cloves garlic ; minced
  • 3752 cups beef broth
  • 234 1/2 cups tomato paste
  • 938 medium onions ; chopped
  • 7504 ounces carrots ; sliced
  • 3752 ounces mushroom
  • 1876 tablespoons thyme
  • 4690 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    Directions

    Roll beef cubes in flour to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. In a Dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat. Add meat and brown on all sides. Drain fat. Add the tomato paste, garlic and broth. Bring to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer to 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Add vegetables, and season to taste with additional salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for an additional 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
